STREAM Lab

A state-of-the-art lab for teaching Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics.

Unveiled in January 2020, the STREAM Lab at Holy Spirit was designed and installed by a company called Creative Learning Systems. Creative Learning Systems has been developing technology-based classrooms since 1987.

Students work in teams to develop projects in the areas of scientific data and analysis, circuitry, computer graphics, digital communications, mechanics and structures, alternative and renewable energy, software engineering, and robotics and control technology.

In the STREAM Lab, students have the opportunity to explore their own project ideas under the supervision of a special kind of teacher called a “Facilitator”. Instead of taking exams, students create e-portfolios to document their learning.

Through the generosity of the Holy Spirit Regional Catholic School Foundation and individual gifts, almost $200,000 was raised for the project. Funds for the project were pledged and paid in just under a year.

We are so grateful for the stewardship and love shown to our students. The gifts from our donors will have a lasting impact on our students for many years to come.
