Principal’s Message
“We are just two weeks away from the start of Holy
Week in the church. This year, that week takes on a deeper
meaning for all of us. Last week, the universal church, led by
Pope Francis, prayed the rosary for the people of Ukraine
and Russia during this time of conflict and violence. The Holy
Father consecrated the people of Ukraine and Russia to the
Blessed Mother asking her to lift those prayers of
intercession to Christ in heaven. The Diocese of Birmingham
including our parish and our school, participated in this
Rosary led by Bishop of Birmingham Steven Raica. It was a
time we all stopped our regular work and simply prayed for
all those affected by this war. Let us continue to lift up our
prayers for those especially in need of our care in Ukraine
and Russia.”

“May the God of peace arouse in all an authentic desire for
dialogue and reconciliation. Violence cannot be overcome with
violence. Violence is overcome with peace.”
– Pope Francis
