Principal’s Message
It is very important this time of the school year to stay winter weather prepared! At HSRCS we have our own weather-predicting station facilitated by our middle school science students under the leadership of Mrs. McQueen and Mrs. Dow. In the hallway outside the science lab, a traditional weather map is updated to let the whole population know if a warm front or a cold front is preparing to enter the North Alabama Area. With the help of the weather equipment provided by a STEDTRAIN grant, positioned in the playground area, our students are able to monitor and report temperatures daily to all the citizens of our school.
We also ask the intercession of St. Medard, patron saint of weather, to provide protection from any storms that will potentially come our way. Help us to be prepared for each season of our school year. May God bless our community and keep us safe.
