Tiger Talk – September 1, 2021 – Volume 27: Issue 41

Principal’s Message

Dear Friends,

The Gospel for September 2nd is an awesome one. Jesus is speaking to the crowds from a boat off shore that belonged to Simon Peter. After he finished addressing the crowds he called Simon to lower his nets into the deep waters. After catching nothing during the day the nets were busting with fish. Simon approached Jesus with humility asking for forgiveness for not believing. Jesus then told Simon that from that point on he would be a fisher of men and to follow Christ. It is times like the ones we are living today, that we need to approach God in humility and remember that we are called to share Jesus with others. Last week when so much negative news seemed to surround the globe, our children raised over $3,200 to sponsor Darlencia an orphan in Haiti. Our goal was to raise $700 to meet her
yearly needs and our students far surpassed that gift. The act of giving is an act of hope that blesses our community. Christ is with us!! Have a restful Labor Day
weekend and peaceful family time.
